Itinerary


Day 1 – Arusha- Tarangire


Distance: ~120 km | Drive time: ~2–3 hours

Activities:

  • Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast.

  • Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.

  • Enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring the park’s riverine landscape and seasonal swamps.

  • Picnic lunch inside the park.

  • Afternoon game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, buffalo, and possibly leopards.

  • Evening relaxation at your lodge.

  • Meals:

Distance: ~325 km | Drive time: ~7–8 hours (with game drive en route)

Activities:

  • Early breakfast and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park.

  • Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge (famous archaeological site).

  • Enter Serengeti around mid-day and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge.

  • Game viewing in Central Serengeti (Seronera) — known for lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

  • Meals:

Distance: ~145 km | Drive time: ~3–4 hours (game drive en route)

Activities:

  • Optional: Sunrise game drive or hot air balloon safari (extra cost).

  • Morning game drive in Serengeti plains.

  • After lunch, depart Serengeti and drive toward Ngorongoro, with wildlife viewing along the way.

  • Optional visit to a Maasai village or Olduvai Gorge, if not done on Day 2.

  • Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim before sunset.

  • Meals:

Distance: ~190 km | Drive time: ~4–5 hours

Activities:

  • Early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera and home to a rich diversity of wildlife including the Big Five.

  • Half-day crater game drive, including a visit to the hippo pool.

  • Picnic lunch at the crater floor.

  • Afternoon drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport, depending on your flight schedule
